Mission Statement

Community of Light's mission is to increase the Divine Light in the world for the highest and best good of all.

Vision Statement

Community of Light achieves its mission by teaching Universal Law and the principles of metaphysics through classes, workshops, psychic development, healing circles, meditation, and inspirational gatherings that increase individual awareness, perception and spirituality of everyday life, foster unity, and inspire all on their spiritual journey to realize their full potential.

  • We are transparent in our actions and conduct ourselves and all Community of Light business ethically and legally in accordance with best practices and federal and state law.
  • We provide prudent and excellent stewardship of the resources entrusted to us by the Divine and our community.

Nondiscrimination and Anti-Harassment Policy

Community of Light (COL) is committed to sustaining a spiritual community that is inclusive and free of discrimination, harassment, and/or bullying, and where all individuals are treated with respect and dignity. To that end, COL considers harassment (as defined below) of any kind to be an abuse of trust and therefore, not acceptable or tolerated behavior by anyone associated with COL. This policy applies to all persons involved in the operation of COL including workshop facilitators, volunteers, and students.

Harassment

Under this policy, harassment is defined as verbal, written or physical conduct that denigrates or shows hostility or aversion toward an individal and is prohibited at COL.

Sexual Harassment

Sexaul harassment is also prohibited and may include a range of subtle and not-so-subtle behaviors and may involve individuals of the same or different gender. Depending on the circumstances, these behaviors may include unwanted sexual advances or requests for sexual favors; sexual jokes and innuendo; commentary about an individual's body; and other physical, verbal or visual conduct of a sexual nature.

COL encourages reporting of all perceived incidents of discrimination, harassment, or bullying behavior to a member of the Board of Directors. Members of the board will act promptly and impartially to thoroughly investigate such reports and take appropriate corrective action as warranted. Such action may include counseling and/or other corrective measures, up to and including termination of responsibilities and removal from the community. COL prohibits retaliation against any individual who reports these incidents or who participates in an investigation of such reports.
